Back in high school, TikToker Eddie (@himbopapi) had a teacher who hated Beyoncé with a deep passion. She would often randomly start venting about the singer during class. Eddie and the rest of the students got used to it as the school year went on, so they just ignored her.
One day, a new student joined the school, and she was a huge fan of Beyoncé. She owned every CD and vinyl record, and she and her mother went to every Beyoncé concert.
On her first day in class, she was asked to introduce herself. When she stated that her favorite music artist was Beyoncé, the whole class slowly looked back and forth from her to the teacher.
The teacher launched into an angry speech about how the new student needed better celebrity figures to look up to. The girl was offended and texted her mom. She also recorded the teacher while she was busy criticizing Beyoncé.
The student’s mom posted the video on social media and brought the issue up with the school. As a result, the teacher was placed on administrative leave.
“They pulled her Facebook, and this lady has been dogging on Beyoncé for years,” said Eddie. “I’m talking about the beef was so deep, she would talk about Beyoncé every other day.”
The teacher deactivated her account and returned to school. Eddie and the other students thought that was the end of the drama. She stopped complaining about Beyoncé, and the new girl was transferred to a different classroom.
But that same year, Beyoncé released Lemonade, her sixth studio album. Beyoncé name-dropped someone in her song. The line was something like, “You better call Becky with the good hair.”
Well, this sent Eddie’s teacher off the deep end. Her name was Rebecca, and her peers used to call her Becca. But for Eddie’s teacher, that was close enough.

She reactivated her social media page and started bashing Beyoncé with renewed vigor. The administrators found her page, and she ended up getting fired.
“I can just imagine how that lady felt watching Beyoncé win those Grammys for that country album,” said Eddie.
“I bet she’s still on Facebook right now, to this day, talking about Beyoncé. I cannot believe it. Moral of the story: don’t play with Beyoncé because you’re going to lose your job.”
Many TikTok users shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section and were in disbelief that the teacher was fired over disliking a celebrity.
“Your teacher would have hated me. My momma named me Beyoncé,” commented one user.
“She’s somewhere telling everyone Beyoncé got her fired,” pointed out another.
“Beyoncé haters are equally as committed and passionate as the fans,” stated a third.
“Y’all laughing, but how the teacher feels toward Beyoncé is how I feel toward Taylor Swift, so I get it,” added someone else.
