The house that TikToker @dyoung_poetry grew up in was haunted by some sort of evil spirit, and he finally realized that something was off with the house right before he moved out.
His grandmother would often sit on the porch at night, and she would watch sermons with her Bible right beside her until the sun came up.
He always thought that she was just a devout Christian woman, but when he got older, he realized this wasn’t normal.
His grandfather was an alcoholic. But he started to realize that his grandpa only drank so that he could fall asleep inside the house. Of course, they never vocalized their troubles with the house, either.
“Well, I started to pick up on things because right before my grandparents were murdered in that house, I started to have these times where I would be alone, and I would hear this voice in my head, and it was an evil voice,” he said.
The voice began talking to him, telling him all these blasphemies and evil things about Christ. He thought he was going crazy and told his grandmother about the voice.
When he did, she proceeded to grab him by the arms and shake him while yelling “Stop it!” in his face. That’s when it dawned on him that she knew there was something wrong with the house.
Shortly after the voices began happening, his grandparents were murdered.
“As soon as I moved out of the house, no more voices,” he said. “I still had dreams about this demon almost every night for 10 years, but I never had any issues with hearing things again, and I know it was completely pertaining to that home.”

Many TikTok users shared their own experiences about demons and haunted houses in the comments section.
“When I was married, I would have sleep paralysis, and a demon would try to crawl into my body and strangle me. Felt like I was being set on fire from the inside. I got divorced three years ago. It’s never happened again,” commented one user.
“I’m glad you had discernment that it wasn’t your thoughts. I got rid of a demon my mom brought on from her family’s witchcraft. I removed it after a couple of months of persistence to figure out what exactly it was assigned to do. My mom stopped being verbally abusive after it was removed,” wrote another.
“My great-grandmother ‘killed herself’ in the well next to the house. She had been in the psychiatric hospital on and off her whole life, living in their house. Needless to say, all the children (11 of them) have stories and never went back to that farm. I think she did it to escape the hauntings. I went down as a child and heard and seen things myself,” added someone else.
