For over 10 years of her life, TikToker Jasmine (@jasgoesoutside) had to ask her stepmother for permission to use the bathroom.
She was not allowed to use the two main bathrooms in the house because she couldn’t touch anything that her stepmom or stepsiblings used. She had to use the bathroom in the laundry room.
“The pantry was also in the laundry room, and I was not allowed to help myself to food, and that’s why I had to ultimately ask permission to go in there and go to the bathroom so that she could watch me and make sure I didn’t take any food,” explained Jasmine.
Speaking of food, she was only able to eat Top Ramen for the majority of her childhood. She did not eat breakfast but was mostly invited to family dinners.
However, her stepmom never made enough food, so she had to eat ramen after her dad, stepmom, and two stepsiblings had eaten dinner as a family.
If she didn’t tell her stepmom that they were out of ramen before she went to the grocery store, then Jasmine just wouldn’t get to eat.
At one point, she went a whole weekend without eating. When she finally complained to her dad, he lectured her about not telling her stepmom to get more ramen.
Jasmine was terrified to talk to her stepmom. She hardly left her room at all. One night, she had to use the bathroom badly, but was too scared to leave her room.
So, she ended up peeing in a pile of laundry. Long story short, her stepmom found out, and she got into huge trouble.

“Anything I ever loved was always taken away from me as punishment, whether it be hobbies, sports, friends, my siblings, my half-siblings,” said Jasmine.
“If I wasn’t good enough, I was not allowed to see them.”
As for Jasmine’s mother, she lost custody of Jasmine when she was young. She hadn’t seen her mother for 10 or 11 years. Her mom fought for custody of her for a decade, but her stepmom and dad refused to let it happen.
Jasmine assumes that her dad and stepmom didn’t want her mom to find out how Jasmine was being treated.
Her mom, dad, and stepmom all went to school together. Before her dad met her stepmom, they were the best of friends. He used to call Jasmine the nickname of “Booger,” but her stepmom made him stop because she said it was weird.
Several TikTok users shared stories about evil stepmothers in the comments section.
“My boys were forced to eat foods they don’t like by their stepmom (plus she abused them), and their father wonders why he doesn’t have a relationship with them,” wrote one user.
“My daughter went through a similar situation with her stepmom, and her dad allowed every single bit of it. She was once accused of stealing food from her dad’s house because her stepmom found a Pop-Tarts in her book bag that she was eating on the bus. Clothes, curling iron, nice shoes, all kinds of stuff taken from her for the pettiest reasons,” commented another.
“I had the same upbringing. My mom was in prison when my dad met my stepmom. She isolated me so I couldn’t reach out to my family about what was happening. It took a long time to forgive my dad for allowing it as long as he did,” stated a third.
