A regular customer at the place TikToker Lex (@obvnotlexi) used to work in Los Angeles tried to kidnap her and left her a million-dollar life insurance policy.
He was a regular long before Lex even started working there. He was friendly and a generous tipper, but he was a little weird.
One night, he asked Lex if she would be interested in hanging out after work. She politely explained that she didn’t hang out with customers. He seemed to understand, although after that, she didn’t see him for a while.
But then, he came in one night and cornered her. He started spewing out all her personal information, including her full name, her phone number, her address, and the names of her family members and where they lived.
“Obviously, I was freaked out and went straight to security,” said Lex. “They kicked him out, and he was banned. I was hoping just him being banned would be enough for the situation to go away altogether. Wrong.”
After some time had passed, she left work one night and saw him sitting outside against a tree, dressed like a homeless person. He had on a wig, dirty clothes, a sign, and a bucket full of change.
She recognized him right away and informed security immediately. She also made her managers aware of the situation, but there wasn’t much they could do.
She felt unsafe and constantly looked over her shoulder. She didn’t see or hear from him for a while until one night, when she left work, and a black SUV pulled up.
The guy jumped out of the vehicle dressed like a cop. He held a gun to her face and screamed that she was under arrest.

There was a rapper performing at the club next door, and the show had just wrapped up, so a bunch of people were around to witness the commotion. He managed to slip a cuff onto one of her wrists.
Lex started kicking, screaming, and fighting to get away. She knocked the gun out of his hand, but he reached into his pocket and pulled out a taser. She fell to the ground at that point.
He was much bigger than she was. He grabbed her from behind and tried to put her into his car. Finally, someone from the crowd ran over to help. He quickly dropped her and drove away.
The actual police came, and she filed a report. They started looking for him. Later, she had to try to pick him out of a lineup of guys. Soon afterward, the police informed her that he had taken his own life.
“They told me that they found a bunch of stuff in his apartment and basically told me that I was lucky I got away because I more than likely would not still be alive,” said Lex.
One night, she was at work when a guy came in with a folder for her. It had her name on it, and there were a bunch of papers inside. This man had tried to leave her his million-dollar life insurance policy, his car, his apartment, and other stuff.
Lex was shocked but wanted nothing to do with him. However, she did look into the life insurance policy to see if getting a million dollars was a possibility.
“Unfortunately, due to the circumstances and how he passed away, I couldn’t collect it,” she said. “I did come across a PayPal notification that I didn’t see before. He had left me $4,000 and a note, which was wild.”
To this day, she still doesn’t know how he got her personal information. She did find out that he tried to pay some of her coworkers to tell him whenever she was working.
