For years, TikToker Kelly (@kellybrooke.m) has been bartending and serving in restaurants, so she has a lot of experience dealing with rude customers. Now, she’s talking about the worst table of people she has ever had the displeasure of serving.

One day, she was having a pretty normal day at work. The host came up to her and told her that a table of eight had just walked in. Kelly didn’t have many other tables to take care of, so this wouldn’t be a problem for her.

She went over to greet the table and ask everyone how they were doing. They told her that they were exhausted because they had been traveling all day.

It turned out that the whole group was from different parts of Europe, including France, Hungary, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, etc.

“It became pretty clear right after I checked on them for drinks that this was going to be a difficult table,” said Kelly. “I mean, this table took away all my time for my other tables.”

“Some of that time is due to them asking questions, trying to understand the menu, which I am more than happy to help with, but most of that time is because they changed every single item they ordered.”

For example, one woman ordered a pomegranate martini from the craft cocktails section of the drinks menu. The drink contained citrus vodka, pomegranate juice, and sour mix. However, this woman wanted to substitute the citrus vodka with Grey Goose and the pomegranate with guava.

Kelly tried to explain that they didn’t have guava. The closest substitute they had was pineapple or grapefruit. She could use Grey Goose, but the drink would cost more than what was listed on the menu because Grey Goose is a higher-end liquor.

The woman gave Kelly a dirty look, scoffed, and did not clarify whether or not she still wanted a drink. So, Kelly proceeded to move around the table and take everyone else’s complicated drink orders.

After the bartender made the drinks, she dropped them off at the table. Before she could leave, someone made a disgusted sound, causing her to whip around. The sound came from the guy who ordered a gin and tonic. He complained that the gin tasted like tequila.

The bartender had been doing his job for 10 years, so Kelly was confident he hadn’t mistakenly used tequila instead of gin. Still, she brought the drink back and asked him to remake it. She stood there the whole time and watched him remake it with gin.

Then, the pomegranate lady flagged her down and demanded to know where her drink was. Kelly politely told her that she hadn’t realized she wanted a drink and thought she just needed more time to decide. The woman glared at Kelly and told her that she no longer wanted a drink.

Next, the gin and tonic man called Kelly over and told her that there was vodka in his drink. Kelly explained that she had watched the bartender make it with her own eyes. He demanded that the drink be taken off the check. Kelly informed her manager about it and continued the service.

When it came time to order food, they, of course, made many modifications to the dishes they ordered. The chef was reluctant to accommodate them and warned that the food might not come out as intended.

“Three people at the table had an issue with their food,” said Kelly. “You want to know the three people? The gin man, the pomegranate lady, and another person who ordered a dish completely not as intended.”

“That person had ordered nachos with just the cheese on them and was complaining that the nachos were too plain.”

In the end, the table wasn’t happy with their meals. They were there for about three hours and stayed 30 minutes after the restaurant closed. When she dropped the check off at the table, the gin man told her that they were all doing separate checks.

She informed him that restaurant policy stated she could only split the bill evenly on two different cards. The policy was posted on every single menu and at the front of the restaurant.

The table got upset over having to tip, but they finally paid. Afterward, they went to the bathrooms and left. Later, when Kelly checked the bathrooms, she found a couple of bottles of liquor, so they must have been drinking the entire time.
