As they say, you shouldn’t go looking for things if you don’t want to know the truth. But if you felt suspicious of what your spouse was doing behind your back, would you go digging in their phone for answers?
This woman’s husband left his phone unlocked one day. She was curious about what was going on, or perhaps she did have a bad feeling about what he was up to behind her back, so she went searching through his WhatsApp.
She could clearly see that her husband was talking to a woman named Sarah, which is the exact same name of her husband’s ex.
“When I confronted him, he said that she had called him and he was reaching out to see what she wanted. There were no missed calls above her name,” she explained.
“When I asked about that, he said that he deleted the call logs because he didn’t want me [to see] the call logs. He said that it was probably accidental on her part.”
“I asked to see the call log, and he said he had deleted those, too. He also lied and said the missed calls were from a few days ago, and he was just now texting her to see what she wanted.”
“There were no prior [conversations] I could see, so it made me think he did the initiating. He also tried to downplay the word ‘ex’ and stated that she was more of a fling from the past. The girl lives in Denmark, and we live in the United Kingdom.”
She knows there’s no chance that Sarah could have called her husband accidentally, considering the distance between them. A call from Sarah would mean this girl would have to purposely look him up and reach out to him.
She’s additionally worried about her husband stating that he waited a couple of days to message Sarah back. She’s wondering if she’s going nuts, or if her husband is gaslighting her.
She is hormonal, as she’s currently pregnant with her husband’s child, and left feeling broken-hearted, as she’s smart enough to know her husband is hiding something from her.
“I asked him to swear on our unborn child’s life, and he did. This has made me even more disgusted with him, as I’m sure he’s lying,” she continued.
“He hasn’t shown up for me during this pregnancy in an emotional or physical way, and to add insult to injury, I discover this!!!! He [has] also previously been verbally abusive and cussed at me during arguments.
“I am at a loss and just need to know [if] what I’m thinking [is] right or [if I am] making a mountain out of a molehill?”
Look, if her husband had nothing to hide, he would not have deleted his call logs! And her husband swearing on their baby’s life doesn’t mean anything or point to his innocence.
Her husband is a total liar, and she needs to decide whether that’s something she’s comfortable living with, regardless of what’s going on with him and Sarah.
