This Dog Was Shot Several Times Then Rushed To An Emergency Vet By Police And Now He’s On The Road To Recovery

“He received numerous stitches from an entry and exit wound to his shoulder and will, unfortunately, have to have his right hind leg amputated as the bullet caused severe damage.”

MedVet shared another update yesterday on the dog, whom they are now calling Kevin. Kevin successfully underwent his second round of surgeries, and he did have his right hind leg amputated.

He also had multiple wounds on his neck fixed with the latest surgeries. “His recovery is getting better each day,” MedVet said.

“Our team is sure to give him those extra snuggles, because they definitely help with the healing process.”

Once Kevin leaves MedVet, he hopefully will go straight to a loving home. Currently, the Manassas Park Police is working hard to find a family for Kevin to call his own.

If you are interested in helping to donate towards Kevin’s rising vet bills, you can stop by the Manassas Park Police headquarters (329 Manassas Drive Manassas Park, Virginia 20111) or you can call MedVet directly at 703-361-8287.

If you have any idea who owned poor Kevin or who shot him, please contact the Manassas Park Police at 703-361-1136.
