Gorgeous 22-Year-Old Vanishes After Partying With A Much Older Man And Begging Her Best Friend For A Ride, Then 12 Days Later Her Phone Calls 911 From The Woods

Chicago, Illinois. Cheyann Klus was a gorgeous young woman living in the Chicago area of Illinois. She was upbeat and outgoing. She had a lot of friends and was very well-liked. She was very active on social media.

She was funny. She wanted a meaningful relationship. She wanted to be loved.

She disappeared into thin air back in 2017, and it’s sad to me that her case has really gotten little attention.

Not long before this 22-year-old vanished without a trace, she was going through a tough time and really struggling.

“I would do anything to hear your voice, mom I love you so much please don’t give up on us, your daughters, husband, sisters, brothers, grandchildren,” she posted, just days before her mom sadly passed away.

“You are so loved by everyone mom you’re my best friend, always have been and always will be. I don’t pray much until lately I was told the most beautiful soul is leaving us soon but was told too soon I’m asking for all the help as possible.”

Cheyann lost her mom to liver failure, which is a very painful disease to suffer from. Cheyann watched her mom deteriorate, and shortly after she lost her mom to the disease, her beloved Shitzu dog died too.

On September 4th, 2016, she posted on her Facebook, “Unfortunately just lost another part of our family my puppy, Mika. I had the opportunity to have you as my best friend for 11 years of my life, go get mom and keep her company up there I love you meeeks.”

She suffered not one, but two heartbreaking losses and she understandably withdrew into herself and became depressed.

In the months that would follow, a lot of men tried to cheer her up and be there for her, but there was one in particular that caught her attention; 38-year-old Brian Biddle.

He was nearly 20 years older than Cheyann, and he was into a party kind of lifestyle.

Cheyann started seeing Brian, and she started getting involved with that partygoing lifestyle that Brian led.

It would almost end up being a relief from her grief. Something to take her mind off of everything. To numb the pain of losing her mom and her dog.

“Everybody has their demons,” Cheyann’s best friend Chad Chanapai told True Crime Daily. “That’s why it always worried me that she was out in these places with these people and partying and stuff like that. Who knows what could happen?”

On November 27th, 2017, Cheyann left her home that she lived in with her father in Downers Grove, Illinois, which is an upscale suburb of Chicago located to the southwest of the city.

She got into an Uber that Brian arranged to have picked her up from her dad’s since she didn’t own a car. She headed to Brian’s house in Chicago. She brought her laptop with her. She took some clothes, but not a lot.

It seems she really only brought enough to spent a few nights at Brian’s, which didn’t seem odd since she was seeing him and regularly staying over at his house.

Brian and Cheyann partied together at his house when she got there; only the two of them. Nobody else was there. Brian would later say that they spent all day and all night having a good time.

Cheyann appeared to be acting like herself, texting with her friend Chad while she was at Brian’s house. Nothing seemed wrong or caused him to be concerned about her.

But then almost 2 days after arriving at Brian’s, things drastically changed.

It was now November 29th, and Chad got a series of bizarre texts from Cheyann at 2 in the morning. She was begging him to come to get her.

“To me, she was saying ‘Babe, can I get picked up,'” Chad explained to True Crime Daily. “This was early in the morning and I was asleep.”

He woke up 20 minutes after she had stopped sending him texts, and he was shocked to see what she had been saying.

Why was she freaked out? Why did she so desperately need a ride from Chad?

He would never get an answer, as he attempted to call and text her back, but she never responded to him.

Chad was able to get a hold of Brian though, who mentioned being asleep for 18 hours straight. When Brian woke up, he told Chad that Cheyann was not in his house and there was no sign of her.

Where had Cheyann gone? Her social media accounts were silent. Her cellphone was too. This was a young woman who was very connected when it came down to technology.

It was completely out of character for her to just go dark.

Days after she went missing from Brian’s house and send Chad those bizarre messages, there still was no word from Cheyann. No sign of her. Her dad reported her as missing, worried that she had not come home.

12 days later, on December 11th, a 911 call is made from Cheyann’s phone.

It’s not clear if Cheyann placed the call to 911 or if someone else did. When the operator picked up, there was nobody audible on the other end of the line. Just silence.

Despite this, authorities were able to track where the 911 had come from, and it was in the middle of the woods; Mallard Lake Forest Preserve to be exact.

The preserve is located 18 miles from Cheyann’s house and 20 miles away from Brian’s….much too far for her to have walked all the way out there. Remember, she didn’t have a car.

Authorities and volunteers with the Missing Persons Awareness Network conducted multiple searches across all 86 acres of Mallard Lake Forest Preserve, but they still have not been able to find Cheyann…or her phone.

Brian has been nothing but open and honest with authorities, so he has not been and is still not a person of interest in Cheyann’s disappearance.

He permitted them to search his home, his phone, his laptop, and nothing has come up to link him to having anything to do with this case.
