She and Timmothy hitched a ride to Brookfield Zoo with one of the people who worked for the auto shop while they waited for the work on the car to be completed.
That afternoon, they both made it back to the shop, got in the car, and left. Amber drove to a resort, and she and Timmothy stayed there for the evening.
The next day, Amber drove with her son out of state. They ended up going to the Kalahari Resort, which is located in Wisconsin. It’s the largest convention center and indoor waterpark in the entire state.
Security cameras captured Timmothy and Amber while they were at the resort. Hours later, Amber placed a few calls to their family members, explaining they were not in any kind of danger. She never revealed where they were, what she had in mind, or when they would come back home though.
Amber would be found dead the next morning, and Timmothy would still be missing.

When the cleaning staff at Rockford Inn in Illinois entered one of their rooms on Saturday, May 14th, they were horrified at what they found.
Amber was dead inside. She had taken antihistamines, then used a knife to slit her wrists and throat. She had bled out in the rented room.
