He’s been holding in his feelings for an entire decade now, and over the years as he’s watched Mary go through breakups with other guys, he’s found himself relieved when she winds up single again, and upset when she gets herself into another relationship.
It’s a never-ending cycle, and it’s starting to really take a toll on his life, his sleep, and his mental health.
“I have thought about leaving my wife and moving to another state to put it all behind me so I can finally move on and allow my wife to have the husband she deserves however the complex thing I haven’t mentioned is that my wife and my livelihoods are entwined,” he continued.
“We own and operate a family business. One party leaving would certainly put a lot of strain on the business affecting both our livelihoods. I do not want to put my wife through that. I am hoping I can sort this out myself but I haven’t been able to.”
He wishes he was in love with his wife and his wife alone, but that’s not the situation he’s finding himself in.
He also wishes he could just walk away from the feelings he has for Mary, but he hasn’t been able to do that either.
He really has no idea how to stop feeling the way that he does for Mary and he’s wondering what to do.
