This Sweet Cat Is Suffering From Something, But His Veterinarians Still Aren’t Sure What It Is That’s Making Him Sick

Still, Toki has been more than a companion for the couple; he has kept their spirits up during life’s inevitable highs and lows.

“He has been with us through several unemployment spells, near eviction, preventive cancer surgery, death, fights, and I don’t know how I would have gotten through Covid lockdown without him. He was there with unconditional love, and even though we gave it back, we have to do more.”

Heather has also come up with creative ideas to make sure donors feel appreciated. These ideas include a sliding scale, from a Christmas card from Toki to Zoom chats to art created by Toki, Heather, and Chris.

So far, the funds raised have allowed Toki’s doctors to rule out lymphoma, bringing the family one step closer to the answer that could save his life.
