This Park In Bali Rescued 30 Elephants From Terrible Fates, Making It Home To The Largest Herd Of Elephants On The Island

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, tourism in Indonesia has come to almost a halt, jeopardizing the herd’s fate.

There is not enough money coming in to sustain the daily needs of the elephants. Their lives are once again in danger.

For two years, the devastating financial impact of the pandemic and no government funding has shut the park down, and they’ve run out of money. So they’re asking for help.

The Mason Elephant Park supports five freedoms for the safety and care of these precious animals:

Freedom from hunger & thirst. Ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigor.

Freedom from discomfort. By providing an appropriate environment and comfortable resting area.

Freedom from pain, injury, or disease. By prevention via vitamins and minerals and rapid diagnosis and treatments with 24/7 vet care.

Freedom to express normal behavior. By providing sufficient space, proper facilities, and company of the animal’s own kind.

Freedom from fear & distress. By ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.

To help protect these freedoms and care for the elephants at Mason Elephant Park, you can donate here.
