A 27-year-old woman is set to get married in just one week to her 32-year-old fiancé. A few days ago, she was looking through his email to find the confirmation details of their honeymoon.

She looked through his inbox and couldn’t find the email, so she clicked on the trash folder to see if it somehow got stuck in there.

“In the trash folder, there were a bunch of emails that made my heart stop…they were from his ex,” she explained.

“Background…we first started dating about 3 years ago, a little before the pandemic. I’m a dance instructor and he and his brother had signed up for lessons for his brother’s wedding along with his brother’s fiancé and his sister.”

“He had a girlfriend at the time and I feel super guilty about the fact that we started getting friendly over the once-a-week lessons for 8 weeks.”

When it came time for the very last lesson, they all asked her to come grab drinks. She had such a wonderful time, but then she attempted to kiss her now-fiancé.

He prevented her from doing that, saying that he was already in a relationship with his girlfriend. He did, however, ask her to give him her number.

“I didn’t hear back from him for a week but he called, said he couldn’t stop thinking about me and that he’d broken up with his girlfriend because it didn’t make sense to be with her when he was thinking about me,” she said.

Not long after that fateful phone call, she went on a date with him, and they decided to be together since that day.

Understandably, his ex-girlfriend was destroyed that he left her like that. His ex nonstop reached out to him on social media and on his phone too.

He ended up blocking her on every platform possible, except, well, on email, because she found a ton of emails his ex had sent sitting there in his deleted folder.

Her fiancé’s ex had been sending him steamy photos and messages. His ex insisted that she missed him so much, even after several years of them not being together.

Every single email had been deleted by her fiancé, but she could see that he actually replied to one of them.

Seeing what he said to his ex made her feel like her heart fell “1000 stories.” He was engaging with his ex, and she knew at the time he sent that message he was out having drinks with some of his friends.

She also could see that her fiancé’s ex instantly replied to him, and then he backpedaled and pointed out that he never should have sent a message back.

“I’m devastated,” she continued. “I could deal with the fact that she’s been sending him nudes and he’s been deleting them…but why did he have to respond?”

“I’m supposed to get married next weekend and I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know how to talk to him about it. He can tell something is wrong, but I’ve just said it’s usual wedding stress. I don’t want to feel like I’m overreacting but this seems like a red flag to me.”

Her fiancé is the man that she loves and wants to spend her life with, so she’s considering not saying a word to him and pretending that she never saw the emails.

“She’s very pretty,” she added about her fiancé’s ex. “Really really pretty and I know I’m not as pretty as her. I get why he wants to look at her…wish I had never seen it.”

Do you think this is worth calling off her wedding over?
