“I told him about Jimmy and how he got his name but he suddenly got angry and said I was a sick person and I should change his name if I didn’t want to look like a psycho,” she said.
“He’s had this name for 4 years and comes to it. It’s not a typical cat name but I saw nothing wrong with keeping it as it was.”
“The dated ended and obviously there is no second.”
She did feel taken aback by this guy’s remarks, though it is not like she hasn’t heard people say bad things about Jimmy’s name before.
This date just happened to be the very first time that someone accused her of being “sick” for naming her cat after her ex-fiancé.
She is aware that she didn’t name her cat in a conventional way, though she can’t see why his name is such a major problem.
“After all these years, I just see it as we all do some weird things in our 20s,” she added. “Mine was naming my cat after my ex.”
