A woman began casually seeing a guy a little under 3 months back, and she has been on a couple of dates with him since they started seeing one another.

They have been out to see some movies together, and they also have gone to an arcade, and out to eat.

They normally split the cost of their dates equally, but one time he did pay for her share and she has paid for his share of their dates twice.

“It’s been a really pleasant time and I don’t want you guys to think I don’t appreciate this guy, because I do, but this really rubbed me the wrong way,” she explained.

What she’s referring to is the latest date she went on with him, which happened to be at his house.

This guy asked her if she would like to come over and he would be happy to cook dinner for her that evening.

He went out of his way to insist that she bring her appetite, and so of course she made sure not to eat much that day.

As soon as she got off of work, she headed over to his house. “So I arrive at 6 pm and I see him making steak, eggs, potatoes, and corn on the cob (the small ones that you put in pasta salad),” she said.

“It looked and smelled delicious. He puts on a movie while we wait, so I’m in the living room the entire time he is cooking.”

“Well, he keeps going back and forth between the kitchen and living room, and on his last trip back, he brings out our plates, and much to my surprise, it’s pizza.”

She just stares at him, then asks him what happened to the eggs and the steaks that she saw in the kitchen.

He told her that he made all of that elaborate food for his 2 dogs, before acknowledging that his dogs do eat way better than how he eats.

She looked back at her plate and let him know that she actually could not eat pizza at all, since it has red sauce on it.

She has a severe acid reflux disease that is so bad she has to take medications to treat it but even still, she has to avoid a lot of foods.

BBQ sauce, any kind of red sauce, and anything with artificial dyes happen to be some of the things she absolutely cannot eat.

If she does eat anything that she really shouldn’t, she ends up feeling that she is experiencing a heart attack, and none of this is something she has kept a secret from the guy that she’s seeing.

“I reminded him that I couldn’t eat pizza (red sauce) and he starts arguing that he made sure to not put much sauce on it and kept telling me to just try it,” she said.

“I asked if he had anything else and he said no. I told him sorry but I needed to go and excuse myself. On the way home I grabbed myself something to eat.”

“Well, he calls me and it sounds like he is having a meltdown. Saying he can’t believe I made him feel like that and that the pizza was homemade and he made sure not to put much sauce on it (but he knows I can’t have it at all) and said something about adding sugar to it, etc.”

This guy accused her of revealing her true self to him over this pizza incident. She has filled her friends in on what happened on her latest date, and her friends think that she blew things out of proportion.

Her friends also think she’s somehow envious of this guy’s dogs. She’s left wondering if it was wrong of her to leave her date after this guy served her pizza and his dogs something way better.

Do you think she had every right to leave, or should she have stayed?
