“Wait!! What?! Quadruplets?!” the campaign began, “Ashley and her boyfriend are both thrilled and overwhelmed.”
Ashley is a part-time hairdresser, and, even coupled with Val’s salary, the pair does not have enough to afford the necessities.
Their friends shared how the average cost of raising one child is about seventeen thousand dollars per year, while the cost of raising quadruplets is over sixty-eight thousand.
“They will need lots of support as quadruplets require hospital trips, home care, lots of diapers, and other necessities,” the campaign said.
So far, the GoFundMe has a goal of fifteen thousand dollars. This does not include the cost of specialized care for premature babies, which the quadruplets will be.
Moreover, Ashley expects to deliver in mid-August and cannot return to work before then– further limiting their financial resources.
“Your donations will help support these little miracles’ needs. Thank you so much for all of your help and your kindness,” the couple’s friends added. Their fundraiser has raised nearly twelve thousand dollars from over two hundred and fifty donors thus far. People across the nation congratulated the pair and wished Ashley a healthy delivery.
“Congratulations on your growing family! I pray for a healthy delivery of your four miracles and a lifetime of blessings to come. Love to you and your family!” commented Catherine Dunbar, who donated thirty dollars.
“Wishing you a very blessed life with your four little miracles! Praying they are all healthy and looking forward to seeing a picture of them someday on the news!” wrote Karen Ensminger, who donated forty dollars.
