This really is a hurtful thing for anyone to hear, and although she doesn’t make as much as he does, she’s been able to save a lot of her money, and she has been able to buy herself a car that’s close to paid for completely.
Additionally, she has no loans from college and she does have money in a retirement account, so she is financially stable.
“I truly feel like our financial contributions are proportional to our incomes,” she continued.
She knows that she has not yet gotten as high up in her career as she can one day, but she has been able to advance fast in less than a year where she is.
She has attempted to sit down with her fiancé and discuss how hurtful his remarks about her income are, though he ignores her because he’s still out there on a tirade about where she is in life.
She’s not sure how to get through to her fiancé and make him see that his words really do cut deep, and she would like him to stop saying negative things about her career altogether.
How do you think she can get him to stop being so mean to her about their differences in income and careers?
