“I don’t want to get a mortgage and be left with paying everything, and he told me that if I found a real job, maybe I wouldn’t have financial problems,” she said.
“We had a massive argument that night. Now, he’s been hinting at needing a new gaming laptop which costs a few grand, and I’ve been ignoring it, so he asked outright for me to buy it for his birthday.”
She reminded her fiancé that her “fake job” doesn’t leave her with any money to purchase a gaming laptop to the tune of thousands of dollars, and he got furious with her.
Her fiancé called her self-centered, before telling her that she is the one destroying his ability to have a career in gaming.
Although she does have the money to spend on his new laptop, she doesn’t want to give him any money at all for what he said to her about what she does for a living.
She’s left feeling sad about his comments because she really does bend over backward to support them both.
Do you think she should go ahead with buying him a laptop to game with, or should she stand her ground?
