QaShontae began accusing Richard of perjury, which sparked a heated argument between her and the judge.
“First of all, do you understand what perjury is? No, you don’t– perjury is a false statement made under oath,” the judge told QaShontae.
The conversation then moved on to the validity of QaShontae’s case, which the judge explained did not have a place in district court. Still, she refused to dismiss her case and re-open another in the appropriate circuit court.
The pair continued to butt heads throughout the rest of the hearing, while Richard simply observed the chaos for the majority of the Zoom call.
Finally, the mayhem ended after the judge declared the fate of the case.
“I am ordering that this go to seventh circuit court. Venue is to be changed because intentional infliction of emotional distress is a circuit court matter outside the jurisdiction of district court,” he said.
The tumultuous hearing has already received sixteen thousand views on YouTube and spurred hundreds of comments.
