This Couple’s Two Dogs Ate Their Winning Lottery Ticket

“But my husband thought it was hilarious, and someone might get a good laugh at the very least. He said it’s for sure a winner.”

Sure enough, Nathan was right! The Oregon Lottery accepts mail-in claims so winning ticket owners can send in their tickets to receive their prizes.

But Oregon Lottery personnel went above and beyond and were amazingly able to salvage the ticket pieces and put it back together.

The ticket was a $3, play-style ‘Pharaoh’s Gold Crossword.’ It won them $8! The Lamets were pleased to hear that the ticket was an actual winner.

“That’s too funny,” Rachael said in the press release. “We are definitely getting more chew toys, they go through a lot. We love them, but they are crazy sometimes.”

At the end of the press release, lottery officials left a couple of extra tips to prevent any loss or damage to your lottery ticket.

This includes signing the back of your ticket, talking to a financial advisor in case you’ve won a large sum, and of course, making sure the ticket is “out of reach of any furry friends!”
