His Fiancée Asked Her Former Friend With Benefits To Grab Coffee With Her, And He Thinks This Is Pretty Fishy
A 25-year-old guy is engaged to his 22-year-old fiancée, and last night as they were getting ready to go to sleep, she confessed something pretty weird to him.
She said that she had been on Instagram and came across a photo of a couple of concert tickets.
She instantly made a comment about the tickets and then claimed to realize the person who posted the photo was none other than her former friend with benefits.
Not only is this guy his fiancée’s former friend with benefits, but his fiancé was also completely and utterly obsessed with him too for some time.
His fiancée was “desperate” for this guy’s attention and was hoping to be able to date him. This guy turned his fiancée down but suggested they could sleep together and his fiancée had said yes to this.
“Early on in my relationship with my fiancée, he talked to her and tried to get her to cheat on me (she didn’t), telling her that I was probably cheating anyway (I wasn’t),” he explained.
“She stopped talking to him, and over time, he kind of became a running joke in our relationship; my fiancée would laugh and say things like, “I can’t believe I was obsessed with HIM of all people,” she seemed pretty embarrassed about it like she cringes when she thinks about it.”
So last night, here his fiancée is claiming to have replied to her former friend with benefits without even noticing it was him that she was striking up a conversation with on social media.
He didn’t really have too much of a problem with that, but then his fiancée mentioned that she was going to be meeting up with her former friend with benefits to grab coffee.

He couldn’t believe that his fiancée had said yes to grabbing coffee with this guy without running it past him first, and he questioned her about why she wanted to even go do this.
“She said it’s something to do that will get her out of the house, and she wouldn’t mind having at least one friend,” he said.
“I figure that’s hard to argue with, she spends all day at home looking after our daughter when I’m at work, and she doesn’t really have anyone to speak to during that time, so I get why some social interaction would appeal.”
“So while I am uncomfortable with it, I would feel too bad stopping her because I know how lonely she gets. I tell her I don’t mind and she can go if she wants. And that’s the end of the conversation, but it keeps bothering me.”
As he began to think this all over, something about the whole situation just did not sit right with him.
He didn’t think it was a likely scenario that his fiancée commented on something on social media without stopping to check to see who posted it beforehand.
He then considered that perhaps his fiancée’s former friends with benefits was the first one to strike up a conversation, but perhaps his fiancée did not want to tell him that.
Everything was irritating him so much that he decided to go straight to the source, and he picked up his fiancée’s phone while she was fast asleep to check her messages.
As he looked through her phone, he could see that his fiancée did start the conversation with her former friend with benefits, and then she asked him out for coffee, not the other way around like she had told him.
He kept looking at the messages and found out that his fiancée stated that she would have to bring their young daughter along for coffee if they met up during the weekday, but his fiancée did not once bring him up.
His fiancée and her former friend with benefits made plans to get coffee this upcoming Tuesday, but the worst part about the messages was that he could see that his fiancée had been messaging this guy while he was sitting right next to her that night.
So, his fiancée did not tell him the truth at all.
“I feel super uncomfortable about the whole thing, especially because she lied to me that it was his idea,” he continued.
“Plus, I don’t know what’s weirder, taking my daughter with her to meet him or making me look after her while she does.”
He doesn’t think his fiancée has it in her heart to cheat on him, but the whole situation just seems so fishy.
“I just don’t know how to talk to her about it without revealing that I read her messages while she was asleep; that can’t end well for me,” he added.
“So what do I do? How do I approach this?”
