She Pretty Much Tricked Her Sister Into Applying For Medical School, And Her Whole Family Is Angry At Her Even Though This Was Always Her Sister’s Dream
A young woman has a sister who is incredibly talented and wonderful. Her sister always said that she would like to be a doctor when they were growing up.
Her sister got into a prestigious college, and she maintained a 4.00 GPA throughout the years she went there.
After graduation, her parents pressured her sister into helping them with the family business related to real estate development.
Her sister agreed to help, but then her parents keep increasing the demands they put on her sister.
Her parents expected so much “help” in the business that her sister had no choice but to abandon studying for the MCAT.
It’s now been a year since her sister graduated from college and got sucked into the family business.
“…I saw that she was going nowhere,” she explained. “So, I decided to help her out by telling her that I wanted to be a doctor and would like her to help me study for the MCAT.”
“My sister, of course, being the sweetheart that she is, decided to help me study. I started telling her how nervous I was and how I wish she could take it with me. She told me she couldn’t because she needed to help my parents first.”
“So I started fake crying and acting depressed. She took pity on me and decided to take the exam with me. Moving forward, we both took the test. She got an amazing score of 525.”

Her sister was overjoyed to have done so well, and she, later on, filled their family in on her scores. Her sister also mentioned that she would like to move forward with applying to medical school for the next semester.
Her sister revealed to their family that she was the one who “inspired her” to take the MCAT in the first place, and her sister was happy that they could apply to medical school together and hopefully get accepted into the same program.
Her parents turned around and questioned her about when she changed her mind and wanted to be a doctor, and she had no choice but to own up to what she did, which was to trick her sister into applying to medical school by pretending to want to be a doctor herself.
She got a 508 on the MCAT, and she has absolutely zero interest in ever going to medical school. She only did this to help her sister get back on the path of realizing her childhood dream and achieving her greatest potential.
“My parents lost it, saying I am ungrateful and that she needed to help out because they put her and me through college,” she said.
“Which is not true because she got a full ride; they paid for me, though. My sister also said I had manipulated her, and she got mad. My parents won’t talk to me, and my other family members agree.”
Even though her entire family is currently angry at her, in the end, she got what she wanted; her sister applied to medical school after all. She’s left wondering if it really was so wrong of her to trick her sister into doing something she envisioned all along. Do you think so?
