That evening at around 7 p.m., she returned to her house, and her husband was there waiting for her.
He was absolutely furious, and he demanded to know why she ditched a party that he had put a lot of time and money into.
She informed her husband that his friend’s wife tipped her off to a prank about to be pulled on her, but he claimed that this woman was lying.
“I said I couldn’t take the chance and risk having him basically ruin another birthday of mine,” she said.
“We had a huge argument then he started giving the cold shoulder while pointing out how I embarrassed him and wasted his time and money by not showing up.”
She’s left wondering if it really was mean of her not to show up to her birthday party after all.
