In 1988, This Woman Was Discovered Stabbed To Death In Her Bedroom By Her 7-Year-Old Daughter: Now, After 34 Years, Authorities Are Asking For Help

That’s when Mary’s seven-year-old daughter, Amber, decided to peek through Mary’s bedroom window– and what she saw was horrifying.

Mary was lying in bed and completely covered in blood. Elizabeth was shaken and immediately contacted authorities.

Officers from the Comanche Police Department promptly arrived on the scene and ultimately found that Mary had been stabbed over thirty times in her neck and chest in her very own bedroom.

Investigators also concluded that Mary had tried to fight back against her attacker after discovering defensive wounds on her arms and hands.

Additionally, the mother-of-two was found wearing only a t-shirt, a pair of underwear, and a pair of socks. Despite this, though, authorities declared that there were no signs of assault.

Instead, due to the crime’s brutal nature and the high number of stab wounds, they believed that Mary’s attacker knew her personally.

So, the Comanche Police Department launched an investigation into the murder. But, after very little progress was made, Mary’s case was handed over to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Department.

But unfortunately, the Sheriff’s Department was also unable to ascertain any suspects– leading the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to ultimately take over Mary’s case.

In subsequent interviews, OSBI agents claimed that the largest problem in investigating Mary’s murder was the plethora of suspects that they needed to consider and clear.

Nonetheless, it has now been over thirty-four years since Mary died, and the OSBI has still not indicated anyone.

Instead, agents have pointed to numerous theories and scenarios. For example, did a former partner seek to hurt Mary?
