She Called Her Twin Sister Out For Being A “Pick-Me Girl” After Her Sister Totally Screwed Up A First Date
This twenty-year-old woman and her sister, Kim, are identical twins, but they could not be any more different. And honestly, she thinks that Kim is the textbook definition of a “pick-me girl.”
“Kim is always spewing misogynistic nonsense on how women are weak and should abide by men, how she is so short and petite that she can’t do anything on her own without a big strong man around,” she began.
“And how all the girls are trying too hard by wearing makeup while she is naturally pretty. So, they all hate her. You get the gist.”
Anyway, she and Kim both go to the same college but study in different departments. And in one of her classes, there was this gorgeous guy named Dave. She describes Dave as a typical dreamy frat boy that practically every girl at her school has a crush on– including Kim.
Then, once she got a job at a small coffee shop near campus over the summer, Dave became a pretty regular customer. He also recognized her from class and started to be really friendly toward her every time he would go into the shop.
One day, though, Dave finally admitted that he was attracted to her. Plus, he even asked her out on a date to get to know each other better.
But, in the back of her mind, she knew that Kim had a major crush on him. So, she decided to reject Dave and be the ultimate wing woman for her sister.
“I offered to set him up with her. We are identical, so if he asked me out based on physical attraction, it really shouldn’t matter,” she recalled.
And to her pleasure, Dave agreed– so she gave him Kim’s number.

Then, things were quiet for a little while after that. She knew that Dave and Kim had gone out on their date. But she had gotten sick and did not get a chance to ask Kim about how it had gone yet.
Just two days ago, though, while she was working at the coffee shop, Dave approached her out of the blue. First, he handed her a tube of lipgloss that Kim had left in his car before asking if she could return it to her sister.
She was confused and asked why Dave didn’t just give Kim the lipgloss back himself. Then, she found out that Dave and Kim’s date was a total failure.
Apparently, the pair had gone to a really nice restaurant. But, from the minute her sister walked in, Kim would not stop criticizing and harassing the waitress for wearing too much makeup and looking “easy.”
Kim also said made pretty awful comments in general about women, and that didn’t go over well with Dave.
So, Dave– who was raised by a single mother and had five sisters– was totally disgusted. In fact, he was so horrified by Kim’s statements that he actually excused himself to go to the bathroom. Then, he paid for their meals, sent Kim money on Venmo for an Uber home, and left her alone at the restaurant.
Obviously, she felt embarrassed for Kim after hearing all of this from Dave. At the same time, though, she completely understood why Dave would leave her sister there.
Anyway, she ended up just apologizing to Dave on her sister’s behalf and taking the lipgloss. And about two hours later, she met up with Kim to return it.
From the start, though, she claims that Kim would not stop complaining about how awful Dave was. Kim even said that Dave was not a real man since “real men” usually enjoy it when Kim brings up how women are inferior.
She tried to keep her cool during all of this, but after a while, she just could not take Kim anymore. So finally, she cut her sister off and spoke her mind once and for all.
“I told Kim that she had a chance to go on a nice date with a guy she liked but ruined it all because she couldn’t stop being a misogynistic pick me even for one second.”
And honestly, it felt pretty good to get that one off of her chest. But, after she left Kim’s and got back to her apartment, her sister would not stop blowing up her phone and demanding she apologizes.
So now, she has been left wondering whether or not calling Kim out for her behavior was the right thing to do.
Can you believe Kim did all of that stuff on a first date? Do you think she had a right to tell Kim off or not? If you were in her shoes, what would you have said?
