She Named Her Baby Girl “Eddie-Munson” After The “Stranger Things” Character Without Her Husband’s Permission, And Now Her Entire Family Is Furious

Then, she, of course, had to tell her husband about this plan. But he honestly was not that thrilled. At first, he tried to convince her to go in a different direction. She would not budge, though, and her husband eventually caved.

“He had told me to just name our kid Eddie or Eds or something like that, but I insisted on the full name Eddie Munson,” she admitted.

Throughout that name decision process, though, she had no clue what her baby’s gender was. So, come her delivery day, she and her husband actually found out they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl.

Despite that reality, though, she never thought to change the name to a more stereotypically female choice. And her husband and the rest of her family were shocked.

They all urged her to pick a different namesake. For instance, naming her new daughter after her late grandmother. Or using her sister’s real name, “Lily.”

However, she was adamant that the name had to be from Stranger Things and claimed that her sister would have wanted it. Moreover, it could not just be any character.

So, without her husband’s agreement, she decided to sign the birth certificate and name her daughter Eddie-Munson– all one name. And if you could not have guessed it, everyone was livid.

Her husband was specifically enraged, along with her mother-in-law and the rest of her own family.

Plus, her husband felt so “disrespected as a parent” that he actually went to stay with his sister in Seattle following the birth of their child.

Ever since then, she has also been receiving a ton of messages from her family about how horrible a name choice that was and how her daughter is going to get bullied beyond belief.

Honestly, though, she does not feel like she made a mistake by choosing to honor her sister. Moreover, she feels like everyone else is disrespecting her choice as the baby’s mother.
