In 2017, She Vanished After Abruptly Canceling A Trip To Poland To Celebrate Her Father’s Birthday: Now, 5 Years Later, Newly Recovered Text Records Raise Even More Questions In The Unsolved Case

Anna’s friends and loved ones in the community took to the streets following news of her disappearance– posting flyers and posters to spread awareness about her case and searching the local area for any signs of the mother.

During mid-May, though, there was a change in the case. Anna’s car, a navy blue 2011 Audi, was discovered less than two miles away from her house on May 8, 2017.

According to Trooper Roberts, the car was discovered in the back of a parking lot in a private community and was not located along any of Anna’s known routes.

The vehicle and wooded trails behind the parking lot were subsequently searched. But, not a single shred of evidence was located, and Anna’s case turned into a homicide investigation.

In the five years since then, though, there have been no further breaks in the search for Anna.

In 2019, investigators did search a townhouse owned by the mother in hopes of finding any clues. However, the investigators’ search turned up dry.

Anna’s parents and her community of friends have been left searching in the shadows for answers.

Despite the case being unsolved for over five years now, everyone has held onto hope and continues to fight for the Pennsylvania mother.

“Maybe I am naive and stupid, but still, I have hope,” Giannina said.

A Facebook page entitled Finding Anna Maciejewska was created to help spread awareness of her case, which is updated regularly with news stories, press releases, and personal anecdotes about Anna.

“We’re all Anna’s voice, and we will continue to be heard until her son knows his mother didn’t leave him; until the rotten soul who did this is put where he belongs, and until Anna’s parents have the closure they deserve,” the Facebook page reads.
