She And Her College Roommates Had A Frightening Experience One Night That Serves As A Reminder To Always Be Sure You Know Who Is At Your Front Door Before Answering It

The banging continued to get louder and faster before a man on the other side of the door yelled, “This is the police; open the door now. We have a few questions to ask you.”

Knowing it was most likely not a police officer, they told him to show them his badge. She told her roommates to call 911 and see if any police officers had been dispatched to their house.

They soon found out there were no cops outside. Someone was trying to break in.

Her roommates stayed on the phone with the police and told them they needed help, but the nearest officer wouldn’t be at their house for another 10 minutes.

They had to do what they could to stop this guy from coming in. He was hitting the door so hard to the point where they thought it might actually break. The man eventually dropped the police officer act and started demanding that they open the door.

“The three of us stayed quiet for a minute, awful scenarios running through our heads,” she remembers.

Then, they heard the voice of another man behind the door. He cursed at them and called them names, still trying to force his way in. At this point, the police were two minutes away.

That’s when one of the men must have grabbed a piece of mail from their mailbox, and he was able to get the girls’ names.

“Jess, Meg, Anne, OP,” he said from behind the door. “Those are nice names. I’ll be back soon, girls, then we’ll have some fun.” Can you imagine how terrifying that must’ve been?

The two men had left before the police arrived. They discovered that these intruders broke their porch light so that it would be harder for the girls to identify them.

Then, one of the officers told them that they should break their lease and move away as soon as they could. He advised them that, at the very least, their landlord needed to install security cameras.
