“For a few days afterward, my husband and I really struggled with whether we had just left a poor woman alone to contend with an abusive, stalker boyfriend,” she said.
“But the way she and the man she was arguing with acted suggested a scam more than someone trying to get away from an abusive partner.”
Once they told the story to multiple friends, everyone else also started believing it was a scam. She warned her neighbors to be on the lookout for the couple but, thankfully, hasn’t seen them since.
Do you think she and her husband did the right thing by not taking the woman home?
