A young woman recently finished up her college classes and headed home to her mom’s house for vacation.

Her parents are divorced, so after she spent some time with her mom, she went to her dad’s house to spend time with him, her stepmother, and her stepsister Annie.

Her dad said that while she was there, she could also go to Annie’s high school graduation, which she was planning on attending.

It’s worth mentioning that when she stays at her dad’s house, she has to share a bathroom with Annie, and she always leaves her jewelry box in there.

“One of my favorite pieces is a Cartier love bracelet that my mom gifted me, and I am very careful with it,” she explained.

“I wore the bracelet on Saturday to a nice dinner with the family and then took it off right after I got back and set it in my jewelry box.”

When dinner was done, she went back to her room to hang out while Annie got ready in the bathroom. Annie spent around an hour getting herself ready to go to a party in the city.

The following morning, this college girl was in the bathroom getting ready for Annie’s graduation.

She opened her jewelry box to get her Cartier bracelet out, but it was nowhere to be found. She flipped out because she is always so careful with this piece of jewelry, and she isn’t one to lose things.

She decided to send Annie a text to ask her if she had spotted the bracelet somewhere, as Annie wasn’t at home. Annie did not reply to her, but she could see she was posting things on her social media accounts.

She then asked her dad and her stepmom if they had seen her bracelet, but none of them knew where it was.

“At this point, I started doubting my own memory and broke down crying. My bracelet was an extremely special and expensive gift from my mom and had a lot of sentimental value,” she said.

She didn’t see how she could have misplaced something that means so much to her. Several hours after she discovered her bracelet was missing, Annie returned to the house. She asked Annie a second time if she knew about it, and this time Annie stopped for a moment.

She appeared to think about everything before telling her that the bracelet was in her bag and she had decided to borrow it for the party she went to.

“I couldn’t believe that she’d just taken my $10,000 bracelet without my permission, knowing it was a special gift from my mom (she’d complimented it before, and I’d explained to her the value/history),” she mentioned.

“I blew up at her and asked how she could just take my bracelet without asking and then called her a thief.”

Annie got mad right back, saying she didn’t think it would be that big of a deal. Annie then grabbed the bracelet out of her bag and threw it as hard as she could at her face.

She was able to get out of the way before the bracelet could hit her in the face, but it did slam into the floor.

She started sobbing after she picked up the bracelet and saw all of the scratches across it that had never been there before.

She’s not sure if Annie scratched the bracelet wearing it out or if the scratches came from when the bracelet hit the floor.

After this whole fiasco, she told everyone she was no longer going to Annie’s graduation and, instead, she would be leaving.

“Annie started whining and crying that I’d ruined her graduation by making it all about me and blowing things out of proportion,” she continued.

“My dad and stepmom apologized to me and tried to get things settled. My stepmom specifically asked me if we could just both apologize to each other and if I could just “let it go for today” since it was Annie’s special day. That (upset) me off even more.”

While everyone else was at graduation, she packed up her belongings, got in her car, and left. Her dad texted her and told her she was immature about everything and owes “his” family an apology.
