“And if she’s not there for the check-in time, she can’t compete that weekend.”
Lauren’s absence from the cheerleading competition could potentially lead to her team having to forfeit.
Riley is extremely upset and thinks the situation is unfair because she and Josh are playing favorites by prioritizing the cheer competition. Additionally, Riley’s been putting a lot of pressure on Josh to fix the problem.
“My husband asked if I’d cancel my trip, and I told him no,” she said.
“The trip has been booked and paid for, and I also need a break. He takes breaks and trips as well. I have decided to stand my ground that I will not be canceling my trip. I will be getting on the plane in the morning.”
This issue has caused a lot of tension between her and Josh because he feels quite stuck. So he decided to sit down with the family and introduce a compromise.
He told Lauren and Riley that he would be taking her to the cheerleading competition because they had made a commitment to the team, and he didn’t want her team to forfeit.
Then, Josh told Riley that her birth mom would be there to take pictures with her, and if she wanted, she could get dressed up before or after prom night so they could take pictures altogether.
Riley’s still angry and thinks her dad is playing favorites.
Should she have canceled her trip so Josh could make it to Riley’s prom?
