Her Mom Surprised Her With A Thoughtful Time Capsule For Her Eighteenth Birthday, And After Sharing The Gift Online, Parents Were Inspired To Do The Same Thing For Their Own Kids
Have you ever gotten a gift from your mom that’s made you well up with tears?
One young woman recently shared a nostalgic gift she received from her mom for her 18th birthday on TikTok, and it had a lot of people getting emotional.
Brielle (@.brielle1) is a college student and TikTok creator whose video about her mom’s special present has reached over 6 million likes on the app.
For Brielle’s 18th birthday, her mom surprised her with a container with a sign reading, “Brielle’s Time Capsule.”
Inside the container was something very special.
“My mom made the people at my first birthday write notes for me to read when I turn 18,” wrote Brielle in the text of her video.
“I was just allowed to open them today.”
Brielle can be seen with a shocked look on her face as she pans to all the colorful notes addressed to her from 17 years ago.

People were very impressed with Brielle’s mom, and they also thanked her for inspiring them to do the same thing for their babies.
“Thank you for letting me see this before my son’s first birthday,” commented one TikTok user.
After Brielle’s video about her time capsule went viral, she made a follow-up video to share some of the other super sweet and sentimental gifts her mom has gotten her.
For Brielle’s sixth grade graduation, she gave her a copy of the children’s book, “I Wish You More,” which she had signed by all of her teachers from kindergarten through sixth grade, who wrote thoughtful messages over the years.
“Every time I read them, I cry,” wrote Brielle in the text of her video.
At her high school graduation party, Brielle’s mom went above and beyond by having every one of their guests write notes with advice for her as she enters her new chapter of life. Along with that, her mom also made a quilt out of different pieces of fabric that represented some of her childhood memories.
Brielle’s mom seems like a fabulous and extremely caring woman, and now she’s inspiring others online to make more meaningful memories with their little ones.
