She Got Called Out For Stealing The Spotlight At Her Sister-In-Law’s Wedding Because People Kept Commenting On How Great She Looked After Having A Baby

In wedding culture, few things are more uncomfortable than being accused of taking attention away from a bride on her wedding day.
One woman recently attended her sister-in-law’s wedding, one of the first events she attended after having a baby. When the wedding ended, she was accused of taking attention away from the bride.
She’s 26 and recently attended her husband’s sister’s wedding, which was held at a nice venue near her house. She had a baby three months ago, and the wedding was one of the first big nights out since giving birth. She was very excited, as it was a very formal wedding and she got to dress up, wearing a dress that showed off her figure.
During the wedding, many friends and family were happy to see her and impressed with how great she looked.
“Some family members came and complimented my outfit with the ‘always necessary’ comments about how good I look because I’ve lost most of my baby weight,” she said.
“You know how much people like to talk about that.”
Although she and her husband hired a babysitter for the night, she had to meet the babysitter outside the venue twice during the reception to nurse her son, as he wasn’t taking any bottles. The first time she met the babysitter, she did it casually, with hardly anyone noticing.
But the second time, more family members figured out what was happening and snuck outside with her because they wanted to see the baby.
Still, she figured everything was fine, as she never brought the baby into the wedding reception and didn’t interrupt anything important during the evening.

However, a few days later, she noticed her sister-in-law made a post on Instagram about how some people “always want to shine brighter than others and steal the stoplight.”
She decided to check in with her sister-in-law to see if she was okay and was greeted with confrontation.
Her sister-in-law called her tone-deaf and said the post was about her and how she stole attention from her at her wedding.
“She insists that I wanted to outshine her by looking prettier and having people coo at my baby,” she explained.
“I think this might be [some] female competition because I’ve seen it other times. It wouldn’t be weird to me if she thought that my dressing up or losing weight was something I’d done to purposely harm her because that has happened to me before.”
“But I don’t want to be too harsh, and I want to give her the benefit of the doubt because maybe I was wrong.”
Did she do anything to outshine her sister-in-law during her wedding, or did she try her best to be a respectful guest?
