She Started Crying When She Overheard Her Boyfriend Listing Out Her Flaws
For six months now, this 22-year-old girl has been dating her 25-year-old boyfriend. Prior to meeting her boyfriend, she was married to an awful man who was a lot older than her.
But her boyfriend is nothing like her ex-husband. He’s been really kind to her, and she genuinely thought he was into her until she overheard him on the phone with his sister, which changed everything.
Pretty recently, she was hanging out with her boyfriend at his apartment, and she ended up falling asleep on the early side.
At approximately 11 p.m., she woke up, and she could hear that her boyfriend was on the phone talking with his sister.
Then, her name came up, so she decided to eavesdrop and listen in on his phone call.
“He first said a few nice things about me, said I was smart and pretty and kind, but then started to explain all of my flaws,” she explained.
The first flaw about her he listed out is that she was married before, and he mentioned to his sister that the marriage really made her a messed up person.
Her boyfriend then said that because she grew up with her older cousin and has no family, some members of his family will end up judging her for this.
The last thing her boyfriend said is that she’s extremely naive, yet she’s book smart but somehow stupid.

“I literally couldn’t stop the tears,” she said. “Like literally imagine the worst things that you already think about yourself, and then put them in your partner’s words.”
“I’m so hurt. I’m also so conflicted. IDK whether this was him placing blame or judgment on me or honestly just stating what he thinks. Would you forgive your partner if they said these things?
