Social media has changed the world, allowing us to stay in touch with friends and family. It also provides a whole new means of communication we can use to meet new people.

However, social media has a toxic side. On this side, people will use the platforms for evil, whether they are committing fraud or being unfaithful to their partners.

TikToker Michaela Diehl (@michdiehll) is describing the details of the second worst dating experience of her life, where a guy secretly started talking to one of her followers behind her back.

Two years ago, she was talking to a man who lived in San Antonio. They only talked for a month, but during that month, he told her that he loved her and that he wanted to marry her and have kids with her.

He ended up talking to another girl, who was one of Michaela’s followers on TikTok while she was still growing her social media presence. It was one of her first active followers, and she engaged with her content frequently.

In Michaela’s early social media days, she would make mistakes regarding privacy. For instance, she once showed a picture of the guy she was talking to. She had completely covered his face so no one would be able to see it. But her follower tracked him down somehow and followed him on Instagram.

They started messaging each other without Michaela’s knowledge. All the while, Michaela had been continuing to chat with the guy.

Eventually, Michaela found out because the girl texted her to let her know. She sent her recordings of their voice messages as proof. She also wanted to defend herself to make it seem like she wasn’t a bad person.

Of course, Michaela quickly cut the guy off, but before she did, she demanded that he send her a picture of the girl so she could confirm that he was telling the truth.

Apparently, he was willing to do anything to mend their relationship and make it work, so he sent the picture.

Afterward, she texted him, informing him that they were done. He tried to tell her how much he loved her and even sent a voice message of himself crying.

Ever since then, he has continued to message her about every six months. She has not responded since she cut him off.

Michaela’s story goes to show that you can’t really trust people on the internet, so you need to be extremely careful about sharing your personal business.

In addition, if someone is love-bombing you early on in the relationship, take it as a sign to run away as fast as you can.
