Ever since 2017, this 26-year-old guy’s 33-year-old sister has not worked a job. His sister has mainly been focused on her role as a mom to her three children, and he says some bad luck additionally played into her not having a career.

His sister’s husband is the only one in their household with an income, and her husband supports their family financially.

Back in September of 2022, his dad decided to pay for his sister to attend an 18-month-long nursing school program, and upon graduating, she was guaranteed a job.

But then his dad asked him to give him a $400 loan to help pay for his sister’s school, her rent, and daycare for her kids.

His dad said he would pay him back in two months. That time elapsed, and his dad still didn’t have the money to pay him back.

His dad mentioned he wouldn’t have the money until after his sister graduated, so he told his dad to forget about it.

“Over the course of those months, he asks for an estimate of $1,100 to cover the same expenses in addition to her nursing exam, mostly recently, $500 last night,” he explained.

“He asked me to keep this a secret from my sister and my mother (F63). I’m at my breaking point because I was in the process of recovering from using my entire savings to pay off student loans and unemployment for 6 months.”

“It got to the point where I was walking in the rain and snow home because I did not have the money to call an Uber. I don’t really know when this will end, as he’s also paid for my other sister’s (F32) school while I was left to deal with my expenses.”
