Navigating workplace gossip and politics is already tough, but what happens when a coworker with a crush gets thrown into the mix?

This young man is 27-years-old, works full-time, and has been married to his wife for two years. But, ever since his company hired a new employee, things have been awkward at work.

His new coworker is a 23-year-old woman who works in a department close to his. So, he would regularly run into her whenever he went to grab a coffee, and they would talk.

“But she kept flirting and trying to get close to me,” he revealed.

For instance, his coworker asked if they could grab lunch together and even wanted to exchange numbers. Plus, she wanted to know what kind of wine he liked best.

Once he started to feel uncomfortable, he made it very clear that he was married. So, he definitely wasn’t interested in a relationship or anything.

Nonetheless, his coworker has not stopped trying to initiate conversations and flirt with him.

“And it has been frustrating,” he said.

After a while, he also felt like he had no other choice but to get help from his company. That’s why he eventually spoke to his human resources department and told them about the inappropriate conduct.
