I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get caught up in a ‘dry’ style period.
It could be because I’m going through a hard time or not feeling very inspired by my wardrobe, and when I go to assemble an outfit, my mind goes blank.
Being in a style rut or slump is very similar to being in a mental slump. You’re not motivated and don’t want to put more effort into creating an outfit than you must.
When I’m in both a mental and style rut, there are few things I want to wear other than leggings and a sweatshirt.
However, I want to look a little more stylish and presentable if I have plans. That’s when simple, reliable, yet stylish outfits come in handy.
So, if you’re going through a fashion slump and need a few basic outfits to help carry you out of it, here are a few you can try.
A white t-shirt, jeans, and a fun bag
A t-shirt and jeans is another basic outfit combo you can throw on anytime. However, to make it a bit more fun, you need to be more detailed with your accessories. One of the best ways to do that is with a fun bag! Get out a tote with a fun, colorful print, or carry around a cute, chic, bright-colored purse.
You can take this look a step further and throw on some cute shoes and a belt to tie everything together. It’s an easy way to look nice and as if you put in more effort than you actually did.
