This 32-year-old woman and her 33-year-old husband were having a relaxing night at home after finishing work, and she was absolutely wiped out.
Her husband said she should probably take a hot shower to help her feel better, so she took him up on his suggestion.
After she got out of the shower, she witnessed her husband sitting on their bed, digging through her purse.
“Laid out in front of him were some of the contents – a few receipts, my cards, and my money,” she explained.
“I was so shocked I just stood there in silence for a second. He clearly hadn’t immediately noticed me, and when he caught a glimpse of me, he almost jumped out of his skin. I asked him what he was doing with my purse, and he started laughing and said he “just wanted to see what I get up to.”
“That comment really confused me, and when I asked what that meant, he just laughed and said it didn’t matter. He put everything back and handed me my purse before getting up and leaving the room. I was pretty much stunned by what had happened, as well as my husband’s weird reaction.”
For the remainder of the night, she attempted to talk to her husband several more times about what happened with her purse, but he shooed her away and maintained he was curious about what she kept inside.
She pointed out to her husband that it made her really uneasy to witness him going through her purse when he knew she wasn’t looking.
He got offended by this, and her husband retorted that, as married people, they need to share everything and hide nothing.
