During the discussion, her husband mentioned that he could book a trip to a location she’d always dreamed of traveling to, so the idea was tempting.
“I didn’t want to miss my son’s special day. But my husband told me there’s probably a hundred ways the day would make me feel worse,” she shared.
At the reception, her ex-husband will give a father-of-the-groom speech, and she predicted that his speech would include veiled attacks toward her.
Her husband also pointed out that if her son valued her more than the money she gave him for the wedding, he never would have signed on to a mother-son dance with his stepmother or planned to dance with his stepmom first.
