This 44-year-old woman has two kids, a 23-year-old son and a 21-year-old daughter, with her ex-husband. He filed for divorce from her a decade ago, and he’s always claimed he hadn’t been unfaithful during their marriage.

However, two months after he informed her that he’d be filing for divorce, he was in a new relationship and eventually married the woman.

Over the years, they had split custody of their children. She had custody from Monday to Thursday. Because of this schedule, she had to help their kids with homework, take them to their sports practices, attend games, and bring them to meetings for other clubs they were involved in. At the time, she didn’t earn as much money as her ex-husband and his new wife.

“I always felt disrespected by my ex. My kids didn’t know any better, and they were not the nicest teenagers, but they grew out of it as they became adults,” she said.

Once her daughter moved away to attend college, she entered the dating scene again. She met an amazing, kind man who worshipped her and made her happy. No one had ever treated her as well as he did. They ended up getting married.

She introduced him to her kids on a couple of occasions, but it’s still in the beginning stages where they’re not comfortable around him yet, and he needs to get to know them better. Her son is engaged and in the middle of wedding planning. Recently, he explained that he would be doing a mother-son dance with her and his stepmother.

“I would have swallowed my pride and accepted it, but my son informed me that his father was pitching it for the wedding, and that’s why his stepmother would get the FIRST mother-son dance,” she explained.

After learning that her son would be dancing with his stepmother first on his wedding day, she felt incredibly embarrassed and burst into tears when she explained the situation to her husband.

In response, he suggested she skip her son’s wedding, adding that he could book a trip for them while her son was getting married.
