A Man Chased Her Around Her Apartment Building, But When She Reported It To The Office, She Got Laughed At And Told To Grow Up

She went running as fast as she could to her front door, made it inside, and locked it behind her. She waited to see if he would knock to get her attention, but he seemed to have finally gone away.

She was so shaken up about this guy that she told her husband about him, and he agreed this guy seemed strange.

Her husband mentioned they should go to the office to report the incident, and he said he would go with her.

When they got to the office, she recounted what happened to the man sitting at the front desk. She acknowledged that she wasn’t sure what he could do to help her but that she no longer felt safe in her apartment building.

“The man behind the desk literally laughed and said, “I’m not really sure what you expect me to do. You can’t expect to be left alone outside of your apartment,” she continued.

“My husband cut in and said, “You’re supposed to provide a safe environment. Does that seem safe to you?” And the guy basically said that he probably just wanted my phone number or something and that I needed to grow up and get over it.”

“Look, this guy was definitely not from the US originally; heavy accent, broken English. I don’t know if there is some type of cultural difference that makes this more ok. But am I crazy for being creeped out by this? And frustrated for the office’s response?”
