Before the ordeal, he’d booked a reservation at a fancy French restaurant for his girlfriend’s birthday on Sunday, and her parents were planning to join them.
But after his girlfriend purposely ruined his Wagyu steaks, he informed her he would cancel the dinner reservation. She was furious and said her parents would be hurt, but that didn’t matter to him.
The steaks were still sitting on the table, and in her rage, his girlfriend took them and tossed them in the trash (which was what he would have done, anyway). She then marched out of the room.
On Sunday, his girlfriend didn’t speak to him and chose to lock herself in a room alone. He never heard from her parents, and upon reflection, he felt guilty about canceling the reservation, wondering if he’d gone too far.
