She Dropped Out Of Her Best Friend’s Wedding Since She Wanted Her To Be The Only Bridesmaid Wearing An Ugly, Oversized Suit Instead Of A Dress So She Wouldn’t Steal The Spotlight

This 31-year-old woman and Rita, 29, have been best friends for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, their friendship has been tense since Rita got engaged and began wedding planning. It began when Rita chose to ask her sister-in-law to be the maid of honor even though they weren’t close and were hardly acquainted.

Throughout the ordeal, she’s been trying to remind herself that it’s Rita’s wedding and she can do what she wants. However, Rita’s behavior escalated, and she couldn’t handle the mistreatment.

On Friday, Rita showed her and the other bridesmaids what their dresses would look like. They were beautiful green gowns.

“She then took me aside and requested that I wear a suit, unlike the other bridesmaids. Not just any suit, but one she picked herself, an oversized, badly tailored green suit that honestly looked like something the Riddler would wear if he had to shop in a Gotham Goodwill on a tight budget,” she said.

The suit wasn’t oversized in a fashionable way. It was several sizes too large and not tailored well. Plus, it was a men’s suit. Rita claimed she wanted her to wear the suit to hide her curves so that she didn’t stand out too much in a dress, which would have made Rita uneasy and distracted from her special day.

“I’m a small woman with an exaggerated hourglass figure. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s just how the women in my family are built,” she explained.

She doesn’t like her body or receiving comments or looks from people, so she normally wears oversized clothes anyway. However, she’s never donned a suit before.

During the conversation with Rita, she tried to find a compromise. She suggested choosing a different suit she’d feel more comfortable in, but Rita rejected the idea.

Later, she researched loose-fitting dresses that wouldn’t look great on her and showed at least 10 dresses to Rita, but she didn’t approve of them. She pointed out that “being dressed like a clown” would make her stand out even more, but Rita doubled down on the suit she wanted her to wear, claiming it was the best option.
