“Why are you asking this?” asks Lauren.
“She’s 13, almost 14, it’s halfway through the year [and] she hasn’t signed up for any sports or clubs, P.E., or anything like that [which] would warrant a new health questionnaire.”
Lauren then said she couldn’t understand why her daughter’s school needed this information about her teenager. The questions about her pregnancy and delivery process were especially jarring.
Lauren mentions how she could potentially understand the school’s need to know this information when her daughter was a young kindergartener, but to be asked these questions when her daughter is a teenager is super weird.
“Why do you need to know about my teenager’s infancy and toddlerhood?” asks Lauren.
“It just makes no sense to me.”
Lauren ends her video by asking her viewers if they have ever received any paperwork like that from their children’s schools.
Her video went extremely viral, with over 808,000 likes and thousands of comments from disturbed viewers.
“It’s giving ‘Handmaid’s Tale,'” commented one TikTok user.
“I would refuse to answer all of that beyond basic information,” commented another TikTok user.
“Health information should be kept between your family and your doctors.”
