She Went For A Walk At A Florida Nature Preserve In 2021 But Never Made It Back To Her House

In 2021, Noemi Bolivar of Florida was 21-years-old and known by her friends and family as a spiritual and nature-loving young woman.
She graduated from Brigham Young University – located in Rexburg, Idaho – in the fall of 2020, earning a degree in plant and wildlife ecology.
Noemi’s dream was to eventually work for the National Park Service. But, in 2021, she was still living at her parent’s home located in Hollywood, Florida. Noemi also has Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD.
So, after she mysteriously vanished on February 11, 2021, her loved ones were extremely concerned.
“She has high-functioning autism, and she has ADHD. She used to be on medication. She’s a peacemaker, not a fighter,” said Karem Ryker, a family friend.
Karem added that Noemi had the social maturity of a 15-year-old at the time.
The day she disappeared, Noemi left her parent’s house at about 4:00 p.m. and planned to walk in a nature preserve known as the Anne Kolb Nature Center.
Broward County Transit security cameras captured surveillance footage of Noemi boarding a bus on Sheridan Street.
Then, she exited the bus in Sheridan Street’s 800 blocks, located on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Later, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Noemi used Snapchat to send a selfie to a college friend. At that point, she was reportedly inside an observation tower at the nature preserve.
However, by 6:15 p.m., Noemi stopped answering, and her phone eventually went dead.
She never made it back home that day and has remained missing ever since.
Not long after Noemi stopped answering her phone, her parents became worried at about 7:00 p.m. since she missed a Zoom call. Afterward, they contacted the Hollywood Police Department and reported Noemi missing.
Upon launching an investigation, it was discovered that, from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Noemi’s cell phone pinged to a cell tower located around three miles south of the nature center twice.
Authorities later conducted a widespread search south of the Anne Kolb Nature Center on February 17, 2021. Unfortunately, though, no evidence or clues tied to Noemi’s disappearance were uncovered.
She vanished without any credit cards, money, or form of identification. Noemi also left behind all of her personal belongings, and her bank account, phone record, and social media have been inactive since she went missing.
According to Karem, Noemi had been sad leading up to her disappearance since she didn’t get the internship she’d wanted at Everglades National Park.
“I definitely think she could be a victim of human trafficking, and one thing they do is look for people who are sad, and she was sad that day. She did not get the internship she wanted,” Karem said.
Noemi’s mother, Marycel, also claimed that disappearing on purpose would be completely out of her daughter’s character. She described Noemi as a “church-going girl” who’s never done anything like that before.
Shortly after Noemi disappeared, Marycel also issued a plea to community members for help in finding her daughter.
“All I want is my daughter back. I feel like part of my heart has been taken out. I haven’t been able to sleep. I can barely breathe. Please help us. I mean, I know she is alive. But we feel she is in danger, and we need to bring her home,” Marycel stated.
Still, the exact circumstances surrounding Noemi’s disappearance remain unclear over three years later, and her case is unsolved.
Noemi was five foot three, weighed 126 pounds, and had black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jean Bermuda shorts, a striped shirt, and teal sneakers.
If you have any information regarding her disappearance, you are urged to contact the Hollywood Police Department at (954) 967-4636.
