When TikToker Brooke (@brookecaragata) was in high school, she played with a Ouija board, and then a ghost started following her afterward. Her bedroom was the only room upstairs, and it was next to the attic.

She would always hear footsteps running up and down the stairs in the middle of the night or knocking coming from the wall of the attic and inside her closet.

She would also hear whispers. And, if she were downstairs, she would hear someone pacing upstairs in her room, even when no one else was home.

“I told my cousin to come over, the only one I would trust to do the Ouija board with,” said Brooke. “I had done the Ouija board before with my older cousins. It was just like a game. ”

“They made it seem like just a game. They would trick us all the time and try to make us scared, but me and my cousin Sydney really believed in spirits.”

So, when her cousin came over, they played with the Ouija board and found out the ghost haunting Brooke’s house was a 19-year-old boy named Billy.

He used to live in Brooke’s house, and his room was Brooke’s room. He said that he didn’t want to hurt Brooke. His goal was just to scare her. Afterward, Brooke and her cousin said goodbye and thought they were done with it.

They looked up the history of the house and discovered there really was a boy named William who used to live there. Then, one day, Brooke’s mom went to the attic to grab a piece of wood.

When she lifted it up, she saw that the back of it was spray-painted with the name Billy. They also found his gravestone, which showed that he died at 19 years old.

After Brooke and her cousin talked to Billy using the Ouija board, the ghostly activity started getting worse. The stomping up and down the stairs grew louder, and people who came over to the house claimed to feel a dark energy. A psychic came over to the house once, and she felt a dark energy coming from Brooke’s window.

Later, Brooke left for college, and every single one of her college roommates had stories of something creepy happening to them after they met Brooke. In her dorm, Brooke always heard papers rustling around or her desk chair spinning when no one else was in the room.

Her family never experienced any paranormal activity when she was away at college, but when she returned home or even when they talked to her on the phone, they started to hear weird things again.

“And then, I don’t really know what happened,” said Brooke. “It slowly kind of stopped, and I haven’t had anything really happen to me in the past couple of years.”
