Marriage does not always shield individuals from unwanted attention. Just ask TikToker @cranberry.bog.spider, who recently shared a story about how her husband’s female coworker asked him out, despite knowing he was married.
She and her husband have been married for 10 years. He is not new at his job, and neither is his coworker. He is the IT person at his office, so he is constantly talking to people and fixing their computers. Her husband is also smart, funny, and conventionally attractive with blonde hair and blue eyes.
One day, he was rebooting his coworker Kelly’s computer in her office. While they were waiting for the computer to start back up again, he told a story about his time in the military.
“This woman looks at him and goes, ‘You’re such a good storyteller. I would love to hear more of them over drinks one night this week,'” said @cranberry.bog.spider.
“Kelly, I know you know I exist. We’ve met. There’s a digital picture frame in his office, rolling through family pictures. I am always in the office. I will fist fight you in the parking lot.”
In the caption of the video, she also noted that this was not the first time someone at his office had come onto him, knowing that he is married. As it turns out, she’s not alone.
Some women flocked to the comments section to discuss how they’ve dealt with similar situations. Clearly, respect for boundaries in a professional setting is not a guarantee.
“My husband’s coworker, an older woman, maybe 60 or so, drunk called him one Saturday to let him know she was baking a pie for him that he could pick up Monday (he didn’t) and proceeded to ask him what color she should paint her toes,” shared one user.
“The audacity. A woman offered herself to my husband and just told him she wanted him. Ugh,” commented another.

“The reason she asked is because 85% of men would say yes and then gaslight their wives, saying it was a work meeting. From a wife who was gaslit for years about coworkers,” pointed out a third.
