When TikToker Alexandra (@takidaddi) was in high school, she came face-to-face with a murderer and managed to escape. She saved her own life by listening to her gut feeling. The game Pokémon Go was extremely popular at the time, and a lot of her friends were playing it.
One weekend, she and her best friend were trying to figure out what to do, and her best friend suggested that they drive around and play Pokémon Go.
So, they drove around town for a while and eventually stopped to get some food. On the way home, they went through the community college because they spotted some Pokémon there.
Suddenly, Alexandra saw headlights in her rearview mirror. She thought they were being pulled over, but it looked like a campus security vehicle, so she wasn’t sure.
She stopped in the parking lot on the campus, and a guy came up to ask them what they were doing. Alexandra explained that they were just playing Pokémon Go, but her friend was handling the phone.
He told them that they couldn’t be there after 10 p.m. because there was a curfew. Then, he struck up a conversation with them about the game they were playing and offered to show them a Pokémon to catch up by the gymnasium.
Alexandra immediately felt that something was off. She told him that they were just going to head home. He told them that it would only take five minutes, but they would have to get out of the car because they couldn’t drive up there.
Chills went down her spine. Again, she stated that she had to get home.
So, she drove away, dropped her friend off, and went home. She told her mom about the weird encounter with the guy at the community college. Her mom was glad that she never got out of the car and praised her for being smart about it.

A week later, she saw on the news that there had been a murder on the community college campus. The victim was a young blonde girl who had been walking home, and the suspect on the loose was the same campus security guard from the other night.
Months passed, and he eventually got caught. It turned out that he had been planning the murder for a while and was hunting for the perfect victim. As a young blonde, Alexandra’s profile matched exactly what he was looking for.
“I have never felt sicker to my stomach, but I am so grateful I listened to my intuition and that I was lucky enough just to be in my car and be able to drive away,” Alexandra concluded.
