Dating apps are a wild ride, as TikToker Sara (@sara_dipasquale_) ended up finding out. She matched with a guy on a dating app, and they made plans to meet up at an Irish pub.
The moment she arrived, she could immediately tell that his energy was off. He wasn’t shy or awkward. Instead, he seemed a little arrogant and full of himself, almost like he believed that he was God’s gift to Earth.
An Irish bartender came over to take their drink orders, and he was somewhat rude to them. Afterward, they started chatting. He pointed out that she seemed like the friendly type and went on to say that he didn’t like it when people approached him, whether it was at the grocery store or on the street.
He believed that there was a time and a place for that, which was why he used dating apps.
At one point, Sara commented on one of the prompts on his dating profile. It was about how he hated sharing food with people. He explained, a little too passionately, that his ex used to order her own dish but still eat off his plate, and it drove him crazy.
Sara thought this might be a problem because she loved to share food. Also, the date was off to a negative start, which didn’t bode well.
As they continued chatting, he revealed that he wanted to have six kids. He bragged about having a great job, so he could afford to have that many.
Furthermore, every time he asked her a question, and she said she wanted to think about her answer, he would get defensive. By then, it was undeniably clear they were not a match made in heaven.
Toward the end of the date, he made fun of the drink she had ordered. When they got up to leave, he walked 10 steps ahead of her and barked over his shoulder at her to keep up.

He also told her that he would be expecting a text from her if she wanted to see him again. She did not plan on ever texting him again.
They went their separate ways, and he didn’t even text her to make sure she got home safely.
A week and a half later, he messaged her and asked what she was doing. She hadn’t saved his phone number, so she didn’t know who was texting her. Finally, it clicked once he told her his name.
“I go, oh, I thought you wait for the girls to text you first,” Sara said. “He goes, well, I had a nice time and thought we should do it again. I was like, well, that makes one of us.”
